Hunt Premiere at A Night of Horror

Last night, Wednesday the 6th April, was the world premiere of Playthings Hunt.

The festival was attended by Producer Kate Separovich and “Casey”- Anna Bauert.

The Australian Horror Showcase included 12 other great Australian Horrors and as such the Audience Choice Award will be a tough decision.

Many thanks to the organisers of A Night of Horror (especially for the little plug for our feature) and the German Film Festival for the Red Carpet!

We can’t wait to announce our next screening.

ScreenWest Feature Navigator Week

The Playthings team recently took part in the ScreenWest run Feature Navigator Week and were successful in receiving a grant of $15,000 for development of our next draft. The workshop week was valuable in evaluating the current draft of the script and working out how to improve it.

Congratulations to Ceinwen Langley, Wade K. Savage and Kate Separovich.

Wade K. Savage interviewed on ABC720 for Halloween

Director Wade K. Savage was recently interviewed on ABC 720 Perth Radio regarding what makes a horror film scary. This interview appeared on the ‘G-Spot’ afternoon program with Glenn Hall and Gillian O’Shaughnessy.

Auditions

Playthings recently held auditions for a role in the film for people that attended Supanova.

Have you checked out the Auditions that have already been upload?
Who do you think should win the contest?

Supanova Perth

June 26th and 27th 2010 was the Supanova Pop Culture Expo in Perth.
Playthings had a table in the Artist Alley (Table H) and it was great to see so many of you come down to say hi!

We gave away some origami animals made out of Playthings money and some posters of the film.
We also handed out some audition pieces for people to audition for roles in the movie.

The highlight for me was Summer Glau signing one of our posters. We might raffle it off to help raise funds for the film in the future so keep your eyes peeled and sign up on our competitions page.
